    Interview on Allison Dickson's Website

My good friend and fellow author, Allison Dickson, graciously interviewed me and then posted that interview on her blog as part of my Lord of Winter blog tour. By the way, Allison writes really amazing books, too. Her Colt Coltrane series is one of my favorites and her horror novel Strings will probably shake you to the core (with the sequel coming soon!). Check out her Amazon author page for more. Check out the interview HERE. Click on the cover below to get your copy of The

My Guest Post on Patrick Green's Site

That scary-looking guy there to the left is a fellow author and a great friend. Yeah, he's trying to look mean, but he's actually a really nice guy (don't tell him I told you that). Patrick and I have become pretty good friends over the years and I consider him a brother from another mother. He has a new book coming out soon, but you should also check out his novel Progeny in the meantime. As part of my blog tour, I had a stop there writing a guest post all about writing YA s

I had been watching a TV show about ghost stories and saw a tale about a "vanishing hitchhiker" that I really liked. I liked the tale of the ghostly girl, but then imagined what it would be like for a nerdy, lonely kid to be the one who had the date with the ghost. I incorporated elements of the story I saw into the tale, embellished it, conjured a backstory and changed the name (I b

Some Blog Tour Stops For The Lord of Winter

One of the cool things about the modern world is that you can do a book tour without leaving your home. These days a virtual tour, or blog tour, is the thing for writers like myself to get the word out about our latest books without having to arrange for travel and hotels. As such, I am doing a bit of a blog tour for The Lord of Winter. They generally are comprised of guest posts and author interviews. There have been two stop so far. They are: Author Dan Cheely's blog where

The First Chapter of The Lord of Winter

Here's the first chapter of my new novel The Lord of Winter: Elementals, Part Two. It continues the story started in The Lightning Weaver. Chapter One: Field Work Christopher Farraday stood at the opposite end of a large grassy field. He had an eager look on his face. Katie Albright, standing across from him at that moment, was starting to hate that expectant look. It meant that Christopher was sure that Katie was about to develop some new aspect of her abilities. He loved th

Today is the day! It is finally here! The Lord of Winter: Elementals Part Two is finally here and ready for your greedy little hands. It is available in print and ebook formats so you have no excuse not to be reading this one. Here's the synopsis: Robin Frost is an air Elemental. The Lord of Winter is Almost Here!

March 8 is the day. The second novel in my Elementals series, The Lord of Winter is almost here. You can still pre-order it for your Kindle for just 99 cents right up until March 8 comes. At that point, the price will go up. You can also order it in print. Sorry, hard to cut deals on the print edition because they are expensive for me to produce on my own. This story continues the tale first told in The Lightning Weaver. It continues the tale of the offshoot of humanity known
