Some Things About the New Site

So, I have had this new site up and running for a few days now. I hope you like it. I switched to this whole new platform that got me away from WordPress so that I can host it myself and, well, that's probably more than you need to know already. The bookstore is a bit different, but everything that may have liked about the old site is still here.

There is one new thing, though, and that is what I would like to talk to you about. If you hang around here long enough you might see what I'm talking about. Yes, I have a thing that pops up and asks you to enter your email address to sign up for a newsletter.

Yeah, I have finally dipped by toe in the water with the idea of a monthly newsletter thing. Email marketing, they call it. Here is what I plan to use it for.

1. I am collecting email addresses from those who want information about upcoming stories, novels, etc. It is my plan in 2016 to at least attemp to publish one new thing every month. So, if you are a fan of my work and want to get the first notice of pre-orders and new material, my newsletter will give you that information.

2. I will NOT be using it to ask for reviews. I also am not currently going to be giving away anything (that may come later). This is just something you will get in your email inbox with information if that interests you. I have some big things coming up this year, and that might interest you.

So, that's it. I hope you sign up. It would be nice from my own personal marketing perspective to have a core group of people I know will likey be interested in my latest work and will be likely to order it. Right now my marketing is more of a random shotgun approach where I shoot a lot of things into the distance and hope a few pellets hit some folks.

I will do all I can to make it worth your while and the space in your inbox.

Thanks for your constant support, folks. I hope to see your emails soon.
