Mark Peterson is a famous lecturer, author and skeptic. He believes that the universe is what you see. His brother, however, has gone the opposite direction, becoming famous for his adventures with the paranormal. They are worlds apart, but when Mark's brother is found catatonic on a Chicago street outside a building with a shady past, he wonders what went wrong. Inside his brother's pocket the rules for a game: The Elevator Game. A game that will supposedly unlock a gate into an alternate reality. Nonsense, of course...right? Mark has to find out and risk his own sanity. It's only a game...isn't it?
